Great Mother Danú,
Ancient One of river and root,
She who moves through womb, tide, and
underground stream,
We call to you now from the twilight shores.
You who are as old as the stones,
As wise as the roots that drink from the
Earth’s hidden waters,
Wrap us in your quiet power.
Anoint us with your deep remembering.
Guide us into the inner waters,
Where memory swells and emotion flows,
Where the voices of the ancestors still sing.
Come, Danú,
Teach us the grace of release,
The strength of yielding.
The beauty of becoming the vessel,
The chalice, the cauldron, the sea.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Imagine you are standing at the edge of a vast lake at dusk. The sky is painted in deep hues of indigo and rose, and the water is still, reflecting the last light of the sun. Mist curls along the surface, soft and silver.
From the mist, she emerges - Danú, tall and radiant, robed in flowing blues and greens. Her hair is long and rippling like the river. Her eyes hold galaxies of memory.
She walks across the water to you, carrying a silver bowl filled with sacred water. She offers it to you - you drink. As you do, feel your emotional body wash clear. Old griefs, stagnant fears, ancestral pain - all dissolve into the deep.
She places a hand on your heart and whispers in a voice like tide and rain, “You are held. You are part of the Great Stream. Trust the flow.” Stay in her presence as long as you like, then thank her, and return, carrying her blessing in your bones.
