The Core Circle: Twice-Yearly Retreats on Sacred Land

In the northwestern corner of Connecticut, along the edge of the Housatonic River, lies a hidden sanctuary - a forested refuge where Spirit Bird’s deepest work unfolds. Here, we gather in small, intimate circles - 6 to 8 participants - for a three-day immersion in soul, nature, and sacred remembrance. This is not a retreat from the world. It is a return to what is real. There is no curated comfort and that is part of the medicine. 

We sleep close to the earth, in tents or lean-tos beneath the stars, rise with the sun, and listen to birdsong instead of alarms. Freed from the hum of everyday life, perception sharpens. You being to notice the rustle in the trees, the call of a hawk, the quiet knowing in your own bones. This land becomes both guide and mirror.

We provide everything you need for a grounded, safe, experience: tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, nourishing whole-food meals, and clean drinking water. The food is plant-focused, prepared with care, and shared in circle. You do not need to be an experienced camper - just willing to step out of your comfort zone. Because the deeper work of remembering begins when the distractions fall away. 

Those who join are invited into a yearlong container that includes:

· Two in-person retreats 

· 90-minute virtual circles for shared reflection and guidance

This is the heart of Spirit Bird where roots deepen, bonds strengthen, and the spiral journey continues. A deepening into the wild within and without. A remembering that you were never separate from the land.
